IOB building was primarily designed to house the offices of Indian Olympic Association (IOA), which earlier were located in Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium.
Programmatic Components
The built form comprises of two multistoried towers (fully airconditioned) connected with a central open space.
Front Block: Seven story high and house IOA offices, Sports gallery, guest rooms and suits along with facilities like sports library.
Rear Block: Three story high, house indoor sports and leisure activities like table tennis, squash, yoga, sauna, message center, gymnasium, billiards, restaurant, bar relaxing rooms and health club.
Central Space: A swimming pool was planned to be located at this location. However, swimming pool was replaced with a landscaped area courtyard.
Basement: To house AC plant room, maintenance, storage areas and parking.

Architectural Philosophy:
The architectural language of the IOB building comprises of straight lines to provide maximum utilization of the space.
Geometric Form: Rectangular geometry of the planform shapes the cuboidal built form of varied heights. Staggering the heights generate an interesting interplay of massing.
Spatial Logic: The spatial logic is defined by a central void that binds the two terminal masses, unified by a passage that maintains a visual and physical connection to the landscape.
